Experience

Sometimes studying and doing homework is simply not enough to achieve at the level we know we are capable of. I know from personal experience that the classroom environment can leave some students feeling lost and insecure to the point where they actively avoid asking for help from teachers and parents. Having struggled academically in my own life I know the value a tutor can bring to the educational experience, and how they can help develop confidence and competence in students at all levels. It is my goal to help students build the skills and confidence necessary to excel not just in a particular class, but moving forward in life.

Hobbies

I grew up in Tahoe City, CA and spent much of my youth exploring the mountains around Lake Tahoe on skis, bikes, and by trail. These interests drew me to Bozeman, MT where I eventually earned my Bachelors degree and met my wife, also an avid skier. After a few years bouncing around Northern California, we finally moved up to the Seattle area to be close to our families. We ski as much as we can, although not as much as we used to and enjoy hiking and playing with our dog Callie.
